The next level of quality mandolin will have a solid spruce top.
Then The next quality of mandolin specs is the carved solid top mandolin.
The best mandolins and very expensive are the hand carved solid top mandolins.
The quality of sound of the mandolins go up as the quality of woods are used.
Can I still get a good sounding mandolin That won't
cost a fortune?
Yes some of the beginner mandolins do have good tone.
